H. Rider Haggards classic lost race fantasy novel, first published serially in the weekly magazine Tit-Bits, between December 1893 and August 1894. This entertaining story follows a British adventurer seeking wealth in the wilds of Africa, finding romance, and discovering a lost race and its monstrous god.
Sir Henry Rider Haggard (1856-1925) was an English author who specialised in adventure fiction set in exotic locations, primarily Africa. He was a pioneer of the lost world literary genre.
With a twenty-four page publishers catalogue to the rear. All issue points correspond with Scott, 21.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Gilt remains bright. Spine is slightly cocked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot. The last two leaves of the publishers catalogue to the rear have had a section torn off to the fore edge.
