This 1838 copper token is a remarkable piece of history. The obverse features an image of a kneeling slave with the inscription "AM I NOT A WOMAN & A SISTER," while the reverse has a wreath and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "LIBERTY." The token is graded F15 by ICG and is part of the Hard Times token series (HT-81). It was minted in the United States and is made of copper with an unknown fineness. While the token has circulated, it remains a unique and valuable addition to any collection.
We do combine domestic shipping when the items are purchased at the same time, on the same invoice. If shipping is overpaid on this invoice, we will refund the difference. We do not like shipping fees either, but ship happens!
Many of our listings offer optional ways to ship. Add this item to your cart to be able to choose available shipping options.
Save with combined shipping! Place all items in your cart. You will be able to ask us for an invoice from your cart before you pay. We can then send you a combined invoice with the proper shipping fee. We may not be able to combine shipping if paid separately. Please buy directly from our store.
Winning items are only shipped to the shipping address you have on file with eBay. If your item arrives damaged, please keep everything. Take detailed pictures and message them to us so that we can file a claim.
You will receive all that is shown in our pictures. If any paperwork, COA, boxes, etc. are included, photos will show them. We do not know the provenance of this unless stated. Considering this item is preowned and may have been purchased from an estate sale, yard sale, coin show, or other vendors, it may need some cleaning, repair, and TLC. We do not clean items because we do not want to harm the original patina. We do not charge extra for dust!
Due to lighting and camera angles, colors and shape may vary. For example, a round coin may appear oval when attempting to show detail and color at an angle.
Message us with any questions. Please include our inventory number. Ending in the title, letter/number is our inventory number. Example: cb214, x346, t1254. Any eBay issues with your account should be addressed to eBay.
Offers are not accepted on live auctions.
Returns are not accepted on sealed items that have been opened nor unsearched lots.
