Outside ofbox is dark brown and in very good condition for it's age. Like a “watered” file fabric

NOTE: The spoons camein this box, but the spoons are NOT marked Shreve - and the box is not tarnishproof because I had to lightly polish all of them (by hand with creampolish)

This is theway I bought the set from an old estate, in this box.
